  • Building and occupancy planning
  • Strategic space governance policy
  • Strategic space allocation decisions to the Chancellor's Cabinet, and
  • Ad hoc strategic space planning groups, such as the UCSF 2030 Task Force.

UCSF Space Management Subcommittee

The UCSF Space Management Subcommittee, previously designated as the UCSF Space Committee, reports to the UCSF Space Committee (formerly known as the UCSF Space Development Committee), and has responsibilities for how space governance policies are implemented through strategic allocation and utilization of existing space, including:

  • implementation of space governance policy campuswide,
  • oversight of individual buildings governance committees that manage space allocation and building use, and
  • oversight of school space committees’ implementation of space policy at the school level.

This subcommittee will be supported by School Space Committees, individual Building Governance Committees, and the Space Management Working Group. These supporting groups will provide recommendations on requests for release and assignment of space, allocation of space within an individual school and/or building, and updates on the utilization of existing space.
